The Del Mar Mesa Planning Board serves in an advisory capacity to the City Planning Commission and City Council on land-use. The Board meets the second Thursday of every month by Zoom or in person at the Ocean Air Recreation Center. Agendas and meeting minutes can be found on the City Planning Department website.

The Garden Club has been quite vibrant since the last 3 years. It is a nationally accredited Garden Clubwith over 40 members each year and they meet monthly and do a lot of projects and community outreach.Being on the team for running the club is open to all members. Membership is open to all garden lovers for 92130 and surrounding communities in garden zone 10.

The nonprofit Friends of Del Mar Mesa was formed in 2013 by residents Preston Drake and Gary Levitt to protect and preserve the habitat, ecosystems, and recreational resources of Del Mar Mesa through habitat restoration and enhancement, recreational support, stewardship, research, and education. We support educational and recreational activities that foster an appreciation of the natural environment of Del Mar Mesa.
